Remote ECUMaster Tuning

For RB20/RB25 (including NEO)/RB26, 2JZ, and 7M-GTE owners running an ECUMaster EMU Black. EMU Black is a wire-in ECU, not a plug-and-play harness swap — which means by the time it's in your car, someone has already made a hundred small decisions about grounds, sensor wiring, and trigger setup. Those decisions matter as much as the tune itself, and we account for that from the first log you send.

How the weekly cycle works

Logging routes on your weekend, itemized revisions back early the following week, repeat. Every cycle is built on what the last one showed us, not a reset to a generic starting point.

Over the six-week Initial Dial-In window that's a minimum of eight documented rounds — enough to work through a wire-in platform's quirks instead of tuning around them and hoping they don't matter later.

What “documented” actually means

Table, cell, old value, new value, reason — every time, for every change. On a wire-in EMU Black build this matters more than most, because half the “tuning issues” that show up on these platforms trace back to wiring, not calibration. A documented change log lets you and us tell the difference instead of arguing about it.

The revision math

A one-shot remote e-tune with two to four revisions works fine on a simple, well-sorted car. It struggles on a wire-in EMU Black build where the first few logs might reveal a sensor calibration issue or a trigger setup problem that has nothing to do with fuel or timing tables.

Our structure gives that problem room to surface and get fixed within the same engagement, instead of becoming your problem after the invoice is paid.

When remote isn't the right fit

If your wideband isn't installed and verified, we can't tune your EMU Black remotely — there's no way around that. And if the wiring is DIY and unverified, we'd rather find that out on cycle one than cycle six.

That's not a knock on your work; wire-in installs are genuinely harder to get right than plug-and-play, and it's common for something small to slip through. Get compression, leakdown, and sensor wiring verified first (the checklist below), then we're ready.

Putting the standalone in yourself?

Grab the pre-standalone checklist — what an RB or 2JZ needs squared away before the ECU goes in, from compression numbers to the sensors your tuner can't work without.

How to start

Begin with the $199 Initial Map Review (it credits toward the Dial-In), move into the Initial Dial-In when the car's ready, and keep it sharp with Monthly Support. Full plans & pricing.
